About Kingaroy

Kingaroy, on the Burnett River in Queensland,  is the centre of a rich farming district that was the national centre for peanut farming when we were growing up. Earlier in the 20th Century it was a major dairying area, and now it is evolving into a wine growing district.

This map shows that Kingaroy is about 150 miles (250 kilometers) NW of Brisbane.
